📹📼 Video Inside:

Dear readers,

If you've been keeping up to date with all the recent development updates, you will know by now that the ⏪ Rewind demo (version 1.1) is in the process of being ported over and developed alongside a title known as just '⏪ Rewind'

⏪ Rewind is not a demo, but a full game of the demo.

The title was announced in this blog post over here.

The purpose of this development log is to officially provide further details as to what they can look forward to with
⏪ Rewind, which will be the full experience.

⏪ Rewind (Version 1.0) further details:

1)
⏪ Rewind 1.0 and ⏪ Rewind Demo 1.1 are being developed simultaneously and are expected to be published around the same time over the next few months (I wish I could make it quicker, but this is a solo independent project). A solid release date is yet to be finalized, but it is expected that both titles will be available on the same day.

2) As you can expect,
⏪ Rewind 1.0 will have significantly more content than the ⏪ Rewind Demo 1.1. This is obviously because it will be a full game that is scheduled to receive periodic content updates. Just to give you an idea, ⏪ Rewind 1.0 will have 20 levels (and more will be added) while the ⏪ Rewind Demo 1.1 will be capped at 7 levels

3) ⏪ Rewind 1.0 will have a feature known as 'gallery'. More on that in the future 😏.

4) As mentioned in the announcement post, ⏪ Rewind 1.0 will carry a price tag. While the price is not final, you can expect that it will cost around £2.50 ($2.99). This will be a one-time purchase that will give you access to ALL future content updates. Just to clarify, ⏪ Rewind Demo 1.1 will be the last version to receive any content updates. From 1.1 onwards, the demo will only receive bug fixes.

Important: The price tag includes getting the full game on all platforms that it appears on.

5) User Interface: Given that both the full game and the demo are carved out of the same source code, gamers can expect that the UI on both releases will essentially be the same. Both will enjoy the engine switch and the new UI format being implemented. The full game however will include some exclusive UI experiences that cannot be found in the demo.

An example of a UI change:

In the
⏪ Rewind Demo 1.1, the 'Score Card' looked like this:

⏪ Rewind Demo 1.1, the 'Score Card'
⏪ Rewind Demo 1.1, the 'Score Card'

In both ⏪ Rewind 1.0 and ⏪ Rewind Demo 1.1 the new 'Score Card' will look like this (please note this is a work in progress):

As you can see from the video, the new 'Score Card' format incorporates a scrollable list that allows for more data to be added to it (Thanks to Cocos Creator 3.7.1 😎).

This is just one of the many examples of how the game is being upgraded for the upcoming releases.

As development continues, further information will be provided to show you how things are coming along.

Until then ? Feel free to download the demo and see you at the next update ?
